Photography has always been more than just a creative outlet for me—it’s my way of holding onto the moments that matter most. Over the years, life has taught me just how fleeting time can be, and how powerful a single photo can become when it’s all we have left to remember someone by.
When I lost my mom in my twenties, it hit me hard—we had barely any photos together. Later, as I became a mom myself, I finally understood just how precious those memories really are.
Then came 2012 and Superstorm Sandy. I watched clients rush to grab their family portraits off the walls as they evacuated their homes. That moment sealed it for me—this wasn’t just a hobby anymore. Capturing life’s beauty and helping families hold on to their memories? That’s my calling.
A few months later, Christie O’Connor Photography was born.

- I renovated a popup camper. I love it so much. We camp as much as possible!
- I can't decide if Im a night owl or a early bird. Which leads to some very tired days.
- I feel most at home in the woods. I love hiking and enjoying nature.
- As of late, I have a semi addiction to True Crime Podcasts.
- I have a sarcastic sense of humor....like my dad.
- I have nephews just a few years younger then me. I became a great aunt before I was a mother!
- Which leads me to how I became a mother. I struggled with infertility for 5 years. And long story short, then had 2 babies within a year!
- More clients then I can count have become friends thru the years. I have photographed their engagements, weddings, babies and families. I am so blessed to be able to do what I am so passionate about.
